Vietnam War ‘boonie hat’ still alive today

What’s the oldest thing you own that you still use daily?

This was a question that appeared on what I thought was Facebook but ended up getting onto my Blog Post.
Yes, I still have my boonie hat from 1970 and 1971 when I was a combat infantry platoon leader in the Vietnam War.
I wear it at veterans meetings and retreats, and sometimes during work holidays if I need to cover my head.

My boonie hat that I wore in the Vietnam War when I served there from 1970 to 1971. I have it hanging in my bedroom right next to my television so I can see what my life has been more than 50 years ago.

It still fits and easily recognized by veterans of all ages.
