Bodhisattva (Compassion) Practices – 13

13

Even if others try to cut off one’s head when one is utterly blameless, taking upon oneself all their negative deeds by the power of compassion is the Bodhisattvas’ practice.

Modern Translation

A Bodhisattva’s practice is, Even if while we haven’t the slightest fault ourselves,
Someone were to chop off our heads,
To accept on ourselves his negative consequences,
through the power of compassion.
